What Kind of Base is NSA Saratoga Springs?

NSA Saratoga Springs  aids Naval Reservists in several Naval Operations Support Centers (NOSC) and Navy Recruiters within 50 miles, ANG personnel at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Schenectady County, and provides select services to retirees. Facilities include a Navy Exchange, a Commissary, and a health and dental clinic, Naval Health Clinic New England.

Saratoga Springs History

Originally the Naval Administrative Unit (NAU) Scotia, the base primarily supported the Navy’s nuclear power operations in Ballston Spa, NY. In 1999, it relocated to Saratoga Springs and was renamed Naval Support Unit (NSU) Saratoga Springs. By 2010, it became NSA Saratoga Springs, falling under the Navy Installations Command and Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.

NSA Saratoga Springs Surrounding Area

On-base medical services are available at the NSA Saratoga Springs Navy Branch Health Clinic. This facility offers medical and dental care and operates Monday to Friday from 0730 to 1530. The clinic is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
